Katherine Lai reflects on the shifts that have occurred across the music industry in recent years. Changes in platforms, accessibility and promotion have all reshaped the ways in which we now appreciate music and the most significant change seems to have occurred in the music video in study. Katherine examines whether a big budget music video is worth it nowadays, or whether a well directed and visually appealing video will still benefit an artist.
